BENNIE THEO THORPE
1936 - 2014


Bennie Theo Thorpe was born October 7, 1936 in Lubbock, Texas to Falcon and Pauline Schmidt Thorpe.
He passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014 in Wellston, Oklahoma at the age of 77.
Bennie was a long time member of the Church of Christ in Wellston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Falcon and Pauline Thorpe; and his first wife Sue {Willis} Thorpe.
He is survived by his wife, Leona Thorpe of the home; daughters, Paula Hammersberg and her husband Kent of Wellston; and Kathryn Hauer and husband Paul of Omaha, Nebraska; sons, James Thorpe and his wife Pat of Shawnee; Rex Pellerin of Oklahoma City; Dale Pellerin of Englewood, Colorado; and Roy Pellerin of Benbrook, Texas; thirteen grandchildren, Samantha Yarbough, Charles Thorpe, John Thorpe, Tanya Lord, Benjamin Hammersberg, Jennifer Hammersberg, Kayla Dixon, and husband, Ryan, Stephanie Hauer, Joshua Hauer, Taryn Pellerin, Triston Pellerin, Kelsey Peck and Madison Pellerin; three great-grandchildren, Jacob Yarbough, Roger Lord and Evelyn Dixon.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 25 at the Church of Christ in Wellston.
The family is requesting that donations be made to the Acts of Love Food Pantry of Wellston in lieu of flowers.
Arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
