Gail Mae Hicks Ring, age 77 of Cushing, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 in Oklahoma City.
Gail was born on June 7, 1938 at her parents home in Tryon, Oklahoma to Robert Clingdon and Cora Mae Amrine Hicks.
She grew up in Tryon, graduating from Tryon High School in 1956.
Gail was a waitress in Chandler and the Central Oklahoma area throughout the years.
She married Garfield Ring on February 14, 1967. They moved to Cushing after their retirement.
Gail enjoyed fishing, crocheting, embroidering and making Barbie clothes for her nieces.
She was the favorite Aunt to all her nieces and nephews. She just adored them and made each one feel special.
She is survived by her brothers, Kenneth Leon Hicks and wife, Ethel of Tryon; Timothy Jacob Hicks and wife, Mary of Luther; Lewis Hicks of Chester, Oklahoma; sister, Joan Harriet Martin of Arcadia; sisters-in-law, Cathy Hicks of Perkins and Ruth Ann Hicks of Chandler and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister, Lois Marie Crable; brothers, Robert Eugene, Merl Lee, Dale Jackson and William Earl and brothers-in-law, Jimmie Martin and Melvin Crable.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Chandler, Oklahoma.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.
