Matthew Austin Mobley, age 15, of Perkins, left this earth early to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, July 16, 2010.Matthew was born on July 29, 1994 in Cushing, Oklahoma to Michael Mobley and Lisa Thompson.He attended elementary school in Cushing and for the past several years was a student at Perkins-Tryon schools. He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching the Boston Celtics, New Orleans Saints, New York Yankees, and all OU sports. Matthew excelled in sports and dreamed of one day playing basketball or football for the Sooners. He also enjoyed playing basketball with his cousins and dad and working at Limestone with all the guys. Matthew never met a person he did not consider a friend and was rarely seen without a smile. He was also very well known for his comforting hugs and his ability to make people laugh.During his short time here on earth, Matthew touched many lives and was a blessing to everyone who knew him. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.Matthew was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Billy Gene Mobley and Barbara Lea Mobley Davis; and his maternal grandmother, Ann Thompson.He is survived by his father, Michael Mobley, of the home; his mother, Lisa Thompson, of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Jeremy Mobley, Josh Mobley and wife, Jenna, and Drake Richards; two sisters, Tasha Thompson and Fatima Mazboudi; five nephews, Jaxson, Jamison, Kadin, Elijah, and James III; two nieces Fatima and Carema; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.His service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Perkins-Tryon Gymnasium. Interment will follow at the Carney Cemetery.
