PERRY LAVERNE MILLER
1945 - 2012


Perry Laverne Miller, age 66 of Jennings, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2012 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He was born on November 8, 1945 in Santa Ana, California to the late Ervin and Matilda Pearman Miller.
He grew up in the Stroud area.
Perry married the love of his life Jennie Hoffsett on November 9, 1968 in Kansas City, Missouri.
He worked in the oilfield on a pipeline as a foreman for many years. They moved to Yale in 1976. He operated a dozer for M&M Dozer in Jennings for a few years, then worked for Mills Construction as a foreman.
Perry was a deacon and attended the Church of God in Yale.
He enjoyed reading his books, feeding the catfish and the other animals at home. Perry loved spending time with his family.
Perry is survived by his wife Jennie of the home; children Star Herring and Tim of Stillwater; Wes Brown of Cushing; Lisa Kelso and Gerd of Perkins; Jeff Allen of Jennings; and Anna Elliott and Miguel of Yale; brothers Buddy Miller and wife Shirley of Guthrie; Alfred Miller and wife Laura of Liberty, Missouri; sister Terry Bates and husband Coke of Davenport; grandchildren Destiny Herring, Jamie Brown, Ashley and Tyler Tynes, Tyler Ritter, Abbie Brown, Eli McDowell, Marcus Kelso, Jesse Allen, Teresa Tackett, Jennie and Curtis Glasby, Jonathon Elliott and McKinzee Romero; and great grandchildren Jurnee Herring, Skyla Gonzales and Dayton Hamilton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Dorothy Daughty; brothers Austin Miller and Alvin Miller; and nephews Charlie Miller and Terry Miller.
Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the Church of God in Yale. Brother Mike Clark will officiate.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Yale, Oklahoma.
