RUBY KING LILLY
1912 - 2007


Ruby Briggs King Lilly, longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2007 in the Resthaven Nursing Home at the age of 95 years.
The daughter of the late Herman Briggs and Rhoda Farrow Briggs, Ruby was born on February 14, 1912 in Muskogee, Oklahoma and was reared and educated in the Bartlesville area.
She was united in marriage to Guy King on February 12, 1984 and he passed away on May 19, 2001. She later married L. T. Lilly.
Ruby was a member of the Baptist Church; she enjoyed reading her Bible, cooking, canning, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband L. T. Lilly of Cushing; three children, Sherman Davis and his wife Rebecca of Stroud; Betty Granger of Wagoner; and Florence Lewis and her husband Carl of Pryor; one step-daughter Betty Lackey and her husband Bob of Cushing; one step-son Tom Lilly and his wife Bonnie of Yale; two sisters, Lois Johnston of Sand Springs; and Alene Wright of Wagoner; two brothers, Charles Briggs and his wife Nina of Broken Arrow; and Jerry Ray Briggs of Sand Springs; twenty seven grandchildren; sixty two great-grandchildren; twenty great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Edith McAlester and an infant Vina Mae Davis.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Davis Funeral Home.
Family will greet friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 in the Floyd Family Center, east of the funeral home.
