MICHAEL EUGENE LAVENDER
1964 - 2011


Michael Eugene Lavender, age 47 of Perkins/Tryon, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2011 in Oklahoma City.
He was born on July 18, 1964 in Coos Bay, Oregon to Vernal and Wanda Hiler Lavender.
He grew up and attended school in Coos Bay. Michael worked as a timber logger for a number of years. He moved to Tryon in 2007, where he attended church at the First Baptist Church. He enjoyed visiting with everyone and was well liked.
Michael worked at a horse ranch in Tryon and really liked taking care of the animals.
He is survived by his mother Wanda Lavender of Perkins; son Zachery Maver of Tacoma, Washington; girlfriend Christine Baney and her children James Baney, Shelby Rickner and Mattie Rickner; brothers Floyd Lavender of Stillwater; and Danny Lavender of Stillwater; nieces Trinity and Niko Lavender; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Memorial services will be held on 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 23, 2011 at the Chapel of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, Oklahoma.
