DONAL LEE HANKINS
1939 - 2014


Donal Lee "Hank" Hankins was born on February 17, 1939, in Dallas, Texas, and departed this life on Saturday, April 26, 2014, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 75.
Hank, the son of Edward Preston and Pearl Devanie Hankins, was a resident of the Shawnee/Dale area since 2000.
He proudly served four years in the United States Air Force.
He married Janice K. Estep Degraffenreid Hankins on May 16, 1987, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was a firefighter for the Oklahoma City Fire Department for almost 20 years, retiring in 1985. He also was the previous owner and operator of Don Hankins Carpet in Oklahoma City.
His parents, three brothers and grandson preceded Hank in death.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Janice Hankins of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cheri Hankins of Norman; daughter, Kelli Jones of Oklahoma City; stepsons and their wives, Ron and Meredith Degraffenreid of Shawnee; Steve and Kristina Degraffenreid of Shawnee; and Pat Degraffenreid of Shawnee; stepdaughter, Angie Degraffenreid of Wichita, Kansas; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; as well as other family and friends.
At Hank's request, no services will be held.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
