JAMES WILLIAM GRIFFIN
1956 - 2015


James William Griffin was born June 26, 1956 in Meeker to Mary Floyd and Melvin F. Griffin. He passed away December 18, 2015 in Oklahoma City at the age of 59.
Jim served a total of 18 years in law enforcement for Lincoln County. He also served as the Fire Chief of Wellston and Water Superintendent for the City of Wellston.
He was a member of the Mammoth Baptist Church of Meeker.
He loved to fish and enjoyed watching his wife, Eugenia, fish as well. Jim enjoyed woodworking, spending time in his back yard watching the birds, and his dogs Cinnamon and Charlie.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Melvin Leon “Sandy” Griffin; sister, Ginger Gail Griffin Gee; and nephew, William Randel “Randy” Griffin.
Survivors include his wife, Eugenia Griffin of the home; son, Jeremy Griffin; daughters, Christina Henderson, Rebecca Griffin and Sheila Hull and her husband David; step-sons, Jason Talley and Brad Talley and his wife Amber; step-daughter, Sarah Hoots and her husband Robert; brother, Larry Griffin and his wife Rita; sisters, Terri Griffin Little and her husband Jeff, Sherri Courtemanche and her husband Steve; twelve grandchildren; as well as many other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
