NELLIE RUTH GILMORE
1895 - 2001


Chandler area resident Nellie Ruth Chritton Gilmore died May 1, in Chandler. She was 105.
Mrs. Gilmore was born September 17, 1895, in Streater, Illinois, the daughter of George F. and Emmeretta Swan Chritton.
She moved to Chandler from Bartlesville in 1973.
Nellie was a member of First United Methodist Church of Chandler and the Eastern Star No. 142 of Bartlesville.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Walter J. Gilmore, parents, son, Walter J. Gilmore Jr., daughter, Opal Marie Potter and a granddaughter.
Survivors include her daughter, Maxine G. McColey of Manhattan, Kansas; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren as well as numerous friends and other loved ones.
A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. today at the Methodist Church in Chandler with the Rev. Hugh Willoby officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
