CHARLES DON GILLHAM JR.
1956 - 2012


Charles "Don" Gillham Jr. was born on September 29, 1956, in Ada, Oklahoma and departed this life on Sunday, December 23, 2012, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 56.
Don attended school in Pueblo, Colorado and Bowlegs, Oklahoma before graduating from Prague High School with the class of 1974. He played basketball and football, he also played tuba and baritone in the high school band although he was a quick study on many other instruments on which he learned to play by ear. That musical talent carried on into his adult life as he continued to play music on his guitar as well as writing music.
He loved his family dearly and loved to help his friends with whatever they needed. He was a very giving and helpful person, and he was an avid OSU fan.
Don was preceded in death by his wife, Helen and his father, Charles D. Gillham Sr.
Survivors include his daughter, Catrine of Prague, mother, Elizabeth Gillham of Prague, sister, Gwynell Price of Prague, fiance, Tammie Kerr of Prague, grandchildren, Shawn Elliott and Tommy Elliott of Prague, nephews, Jerad Gillham and wife Michelle of Prague and Michael Price of Prague, great nephew and great niece, Kendall Gillham and Sydney Gillham, and a special cousin, Andrea Baumeister of Hackatt, Arkansas.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Freewill Baptist Church in Prague with Brother Randall Miller officiating.
Interment will follow at Wolf Cemetery in Wolf, Oklahoma.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home.
