VERNA MAE GEARHART
1928 - 2012


Verna Mae Cessna Gearhart, 83, was born August 14, 1928 in Rural Valley, Pennsylvania to Roy Dennis Cessna and Florence Imogene Todd and passed away Monday, January 9, 2012 in Meeker, Oklahoma.
Verna married Charles Gearhart and was a homemaker raising three children.
She enjoyed working with leather making belts and wallets, along with hunting, fishing, gardening and canning.
Verna was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Ronald Cessna; and sister, Erla Belle Leonard.
She is survived by her children, Irvin and wife Chris Gearhart of Buffalo, New York; Roy and wife Robbie Gearhart of Konawa, Oklahoma; Merry Ann and husband Richard Matthews of Chandler, Oklahoma; grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous friends.
Verna will return to Pennsylvania to be laid to rest next to her husband in the Greenwood Cemetery in Indiana, Pennsylvania and a memorial service will follow in Pennsylvania.
Local arrangements were made under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
