JAMES M. ELDREDGE
1924 - 1997
Longtime Stroud resident James M. Eldredge, 73, died Wednesday at his home.He was born on June 11, 1924, in Sapulpa to James M. and Ruth Osborn Eldredge.He married Mary Clark at Chandler on September 24, 1947.James served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He was retired from Allied Materials Corporation and was a member of the Disabled Veterans of America.He is survived by his wife of the home, one son, Charles Eldredge of Cushing, two daughters, Jo Ann Gilman and Debra McElroy, both of Stroud, one brother, Lawrence Eldredge of Hotchkiss, Colorado, one sister, Eva Epperson of Howard, Colorado, seven grandchildren, Mark and Ronald Gilman, Victoria Brown, Charles and Shawn Eldredge and Misty and Katherine McElroy, six great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.Services will be at Parks Brothers Chapel, Stroud, at 2:00 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Forrest Whitmore will officiate.Burial will follow at the Stroud Cemetery.Published October 23, 1997.
