SANDRA KAY DUNN
1946 - 2015


Sandra “Sandy” Kay Smiddy Dunn was born on March 15, 1946, in Duncan, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Wednesday, January 7, 2015, in Columbia, Missouri, at the age of 68.
Sandy, the daughter of Fred Alvin and Agatha Alice Roberts Smiddy, was a resident of Prague.
She grew up and attended school in Duncan.
She married J.B. Dunn on February 15, 1963, in Houston, Texas. In 1975, they moved to Prague to raise their family. They remained married until his death in November 2012.
Sandy was a member of Prague Church of Christ.
She enjoyed quilting, sewing, painting and spending time with her grandchildren and family. One of her greatest joys in life was making quilts for all of her family members, her church family, charity raffles, and many medical care givers over the years.
Sandy’s parents and husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Lana Dunn of Stafford, Virginia; daughter, Kendra Dunn of Tullahassee, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Matthew Dunn of Patuxent River, Maryland; Bryce and Melissa Dunn of Fort Belvoir, Virginia; and Jayson Dunn of Norfolk, Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rebecca and Charlie Scott of Columbia, Missouri; and Cathy and Deiter Gauthan of Duncan; brothers, Gerald Smiddy of Duncan, Oklahoma; and David Smiddy of Tullahassee, Oklahoma; nieces, nephews and dear neighbors as well as other family and friends.
The Dunn family will receive friends on Monday, January 12, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with Lonnie Hutton officiating.
Interment will follow at Paden Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
