BILLY EARL COLEMAN
1944 - 2013


Billy Earl Coleman was born on June 20, 1944, in Prague, Oklahoma, and departed this life on Wednesday, May 1, 2013, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 68.
Billy Earl, the son of William and Norma Ueltzen Coleman, was a long-time resident of Prague.
He graduated from Douglass High School in Oklahoma City with the class of 1962.
He married Joan Stricklin on December 7, 1993 in Chandler.
Billy Earl worked as a heavy equipment operator and was of the Baptist faith.
He had a life-long passion for team roping.
His parents and one brother preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Coleman of the home; step-son, David Martin and his wife Anna Maria Rodriguez of Norman; step granddaughter, Lia Martin of Norman; a special relationship with nephew, Wendell Smith of Prague; other relatives and many friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Paden with Bro. Terry Pittman officiating.
The family will be available at the church following the service for visitation.
