MYRTLE ALICE CAMREN
1924 - 2009


Myrtle Alice Dennis Camren, a longtime Agra resident, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2009 in the Cushing Regional Hospital at the age of 84 years.
The daughter of the late Jessie Dennis, Sr. and Alma Reed Dennis, Myrtle was born on July 8, 1924 near Agra.
She was reared and educated in Ripley, graduating from Ripley High School.
Myrtle was united in marriage to Leon Camren on August 20, 1943 in Laredo, Texas and to this union four children, Dennis, Kenneth Jr., Jerry and Barbara were born.
Myrtle enjoyed sitting in her front porch swing and recently had been very active at the Agra Senior Citizens Center.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Selcer and her husband Melvin of Agra; three sons, Dennis Camren and his wife Diana of Agra; Kenneth Camren, Jr. and his wife Mary of Carney; and Jerry Camren of Agra; one sister, Norma Combs of Grove; two special nieces, Kathie Hanna of Grove and Rebecca Bogie of Chicago, Illinois; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband Leon; two brothers, Jessie Dennis, Jr. and Jimmie Dennis; one sister, Bula Funk; and one grandson, Butch Camren.
Funeral services have been entrusted to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing and will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 3, 2009 in the First Baptist Church in Agra.
Burial will follow in the Osage Cemetery, Agra, Oklahoma.
