VICTOR LAWRENCE BROWN
1938 - 2016


Victor Lawrence Brown was born June 5, 1938, in Chandler and died Saturday, January 16, 2016, at his home in Chandler. He was 77 years old.
Brown, the son of Edward and Myrtle Esters Brown, married Renate Panitz in 1964. Following her death in 1974, he married Linda Kay Rademann in 1980.
A 1957 Chandler High School graduate, he attended Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma, having played football for the university.
He served in the United States Army for 20 years becoming a member of the Army Special Forces, Green Berets.
Victor was a member of the Chandler Alumni Association Board, having served as president in 2008, a 33rd degree Mason, caretaker of the Clearview Cemetery and a member of St. Paul Community Church in Chandler.
Preceding him in death were his parents, two wives, one brother and one grandson.
Survivors include three sons, Antonio Brown of Chandler, Marshall Brown of Denver, Colorado and Marcus Brown of Santa Monica, California, his daughter, Regina Brown of Chandler; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, William Brown of Oklahoma City, Edward Brown of Dothan, Alabama and Michael Brown of Edmond; his sister, Rita Brown of Edmond and other family and friends.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Chandler Southern Baptist Church with the Rev. J. D. Moulden officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.
