PANSY MARIE BROWN
1939 - 2014

Pansy Marie Fowler Brown departed this life on October 14, 2014, after a brief stay in Hospice Care.
Pansy was born to Roy and Hazel Fowler of Meeker, Oklahoma on December 1, 1939.
She grew up with her brother, Winfred, on the family farm east of Meeker.
She met Sue “Gentry” Green and Georgie “Keel” Harper as a child where they walked the banks of Sandy Creek and waded its waters. They had a lifetime friendship.
Pansy spent her entire life in the Meeker area where she has many relatives and friends. She was proud of being a descendent of the George Edward Fowler Family, one of the founding families of Meeker, Oklahoma.
She married S. W. “Dub” Brown and his three children, Jack, Jane and Johnny. They lived west of Meeker until she gave birth to Mitchell and Nedia. The family then moved to “Fowlerville”, east of Meeker where she stayed until her death.
She was a spirited and talented person that enjoyed sewing, crafting, gardening, canning and going to auctions. As an early homemaker, she would proudly announce the number of jars of green beans to her family and friends that she had canned that day. Later in life, she fell in love with the feline species and had several cats as her beloved pets. Additionally, her love of auctions helped her amass a considerable collection of dolls.
Her parents preceded Pansy in death.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, S. W. “Dub” Brown of the home; son, Mitchell Brown of Washington, DC; daughter and son-in-law, Nedia and Adam Ayers of Aliso Viejo, California and their daughter, Allee; son and daughter-in-law, Jackie “Jack” and Betty Brown of Meeker, and their children, Sally, Brook and Ronnie and his wife, Jenna; daughter and son-in-law, Jane Parke and Jerry Imig of Milwaukee, and their children, Richella Singers, and her husband Tim and Travis Hill, and his wife, Olivia; son, Johnny Brown of Meeker; nine great grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Winfred and Margie Fowler of Meeker, nieces and nephews, other family and numerous friends.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
