DONALD WAYNE BREEDEN
1942 - 2011


Donald Wayne Breeden, 69, died at this home in rural Tryon, Oklahoma on Friday, August 5, 2011.
He was born on July 31, 1942 to George Wilford Breeden and Thelma Nicholson Breeden in Carney, Oklahoma.
Don was reared and educated in Tryon, Oklahoma. He married Ramona Horn in 1962 and divorced in 1970. Later he married Mary Kyle of Tryon at his parent's home in Tryon.
He owned and operated a paint and body shop during the late 60’s and early 70’s in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Many will remember Don from his days working in the oil and pipeline business where he owned Great Western Casing Crew and Breeden Roustabout.
For years Don enjoyed golfing at Cimarron Trails in Perkins with his closest friends, Gary, Chris, Mac, and Shorty, but his most enjoyable time the last few months was spent with his granddaughter Smona.
Survivors include his wife Mary of the home; two sons, Donald Wayne Breeden, Jr. and his wife Katt of Tryon; and Jeffrey Don Breeden of Tryon; one brother, Frank Breeden and his wife Jeanette of Tryon, Oklahoma; two sisters, Norma L. Leigh of Morrison, Oklahoma; and Louise Powers of Lavaca, Arkansas; one sister in law, Dorothy Breeden of Tryon; two grandchildren, Smona Breeden and Hope Watkins; two step-grandchildren, Justin Houser and Zach Barrett; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, George and Thelma Breeden; one brother, Jack Ray Breeden; and mother in law, Delores “Bernice” Kyle.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, Oklahoma.
A celebration of Don's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 14, 2011 in the Tryon Christian Union Church, Tryon, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers the family would like to ask that donations be made to the Judith Karman Hospice.
