Bobby Joe Wunderlich was born in Eureka, Kansas on July 18, 1943 and departed this life in Davenport, Oklahoma on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the age of 75 years.

Joe was the son of Carl Wunderlich and Emma (Kader) Wunderlich. He was a resident of Davenport most of his life. He was affiliated with the First Baptist Church of Davenport. He worked as pumper in the oilfield. He loved to move the same dirt pile with his tractor. He loved to watch the grandkids play sports. He was also a Yankees baseball fan. He was married to Leslie Kessler on April 20, 1994 in Stroud, Oklahoma. He was proceeded in death by his parents, one son, Markus Wunderlich and 11 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include wife, Leslie Wunderlich of Davenport, two sons, Joe Wunderlich of Davenport, James and wife Christy Wunderlich of Davenport, one daughter, Sherry and husband Dennis Bales of Davenport, two brothers, Harry Wunderlich of Piedmont, Kansas, Jerry Wunderlich of Atlanta, Kansas, two sisters Dottie Simmons of Severy, Kansas and Betty Hamilton of Hays, Kansas, six grandchildren, Zack and wife Cheyanna Wunderlich, Austin and wife Kiley Wunderlich, Alyssa and husband Tyler Weber, Autumn Wunderlich, Chance Cross and Wyatt Cross, and one great-grandchild Memphis Wunderlich in the hanger.

Funeral service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Davenport at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 3, 2019 with Reverend Mike Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the Kendrick Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.
