Lawrence Glendon Williams, Wellston, Oklahoma, resident was born on September 6, 1917, in Biggers, Arkansas, and departed this life on November 19, 2006, in Edmond, Oklahoma, at the age of 89 years.

Lawrence was the son of Hurley E. and Maggie Hagar Williams. He married Lora Waunita Williams in Chandler, Oklahoma, on November 13, 1937. Lawrence worked as a farmer and carpenter for many years and was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church in Wellston. His parents, five brothers and one sister preceded Lawrence in death.

Survivors include wife Lora Waunita Williams of the home.Three daughter & sons-in-law Glenda & Kent Potts of Okla. City, OK, Carolyn & Jim Parker of Ft. Worth, TX and Anita & Robert Butch Melrose of Wellston, OK.

One brother Perry Williams of Siloam Springs, AR. One sister Inez Warden of Stroud, OK. Four Grandsons David Alexander, Stephen Potts, Bryan Melrose, Gregory Potts. Four Granddaughters Diane Green, Susan Hardee, Carrie Manning, Laura Ramey. Nine Great Grandchildren.
