January 17, 1941 ~ February 22, 2026

Shirley Marie Riley, 85, entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 22, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Shirley was born on January 17, 1941, in Gila Bend, Arizona, to Winfield and Marcena (Humphrey) Riley. As a child, her family relocated to Chandler, Oklahoma, where she attended school, and discovered her love for basketball. She was proudly a member of the Chandler High School 1959 State Championship team and graduated with the Class of 1959. Following graduation, Shirley earned her teaching certificate and began a meaningful career in education, teaching tenth grade at John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City.

Outside the classroom, Shirley had a deep love for travel and adventure. She journeyed to places such as China, Ghana, the Bahamas, and Myrtle Beach, though the beach always held a special place in her heart.

Above all, Shirley treasured her family. She delighted in gathering loved ones together, especially for backyard barbecues filled with good food and cherished memories. Shirley leaves behind a legacy that will continue to live on in all who were blessed to know her.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, William Wrenn, and Russell Wrenn; her brother, Steve Riley; a sister, Peggy Bobo; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other family members and friends..
