October 8, 1939 - January 4, 2025

Carole was born October 8, 1939 in Carney, Oklahoma to Lytton and Vera (Smith) Acree and passed away January 4, 2025 in Enid.

She graduated from Derby High School as class valedictorian in 1957. On November 7, 1959, Carole married David Cherry in Wichita, Kansas. They made their home in Anthony, Kansas. After his death, she moved to Enid in 2015. Carole was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Anthony. She enjoyed painting and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David in 2014; parents; and daughter, Catherine Kendall.

Carole is survived by her daughter and husband, Diane and Michael Monforte; son-in-law, Jeff Kendall; two grandchildren, Jennifer Jump and David Kendall; great granddaughter, Zoe Castillo, who named Carole "Greatness"; sister and husband, Patricia and Ken Berry; other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family would suggest that you plant a tree in her memory.
