Born in Milton, Oklahoma (March 11, 1924)
Passed away March 13, 2000
Cecil was the son of Fred Bledsoe & Altie Gamble
He is proceeded in death by his parents, a son Larry Cecil Bledsoe & wife Mildred (Midge) Bledsoe.
Two sisters, Violet Holdridge & Mildred French, one brother Marrion Jack Bledsoe. He was a retired employee of LeFlore county, as a motor patrol operator for thirty two years.
Cecil Bledsoe as we knew him!!!
A man with pride and love for his family and friends.
A man who loved the mountain as he called it, with his cattle and horse's.
A man who would stand up for what he believed in.
A man who would help a stranger in need, like a brother.
He was a Man in every sense of the word.
and we'll miss him very much!!

Cecil Bledsoe, 76, of Shady Point, died Monday, March 13, 2000, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born March 12, 1924, in Milton, Okla. He was a retired LeFlore County employee, with 32 years as motor patrol operator.
Cecil Bledsoe, as we knew him, was a man with pride and love for his family and friends. A man who loved the mountain, as he called it, with his cattle and horses. A man who would stand up for what he believed in. A man who would help stranger in need like a brother. A man in every sense of the word. A loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grand-father. His family and friends will miss him very much.
Mr. Bledsoe is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Mildred "Midge" Bledsoe; his parents, Fred and Altie (Gamble) Bledsoe; two sisters, Violet Holdridge and Mildred French; and one brother, Marrion Jack Bledsoe. He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Earl Hearon, Diana and Robert Hvamstad, Lesa and Eddie Sockey, all of Shady Point; one brother, Virgil Bledsoe of Shady Point; one sister, Myrtle Marney of Kilgore, Texas; five grandchildren, Mark Goines, Chad and Lacy Hvamstad, and Breanna and Kayley Sockey; three step grandchildren, Belinda Mojica, Renee Hearon, and Robert Louis Hvamstad; three great-grandchildren, Misty, Hanna and Maci Goines, and Hailey Hvamstad; step great-grandchildren, Krystal and Andrea Mojica, and Katelin and Cody Hamstad; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of friends.
Services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, March 16, at the Assembly of God Church in Shady Point with burial at Shady Point Cemetery. The Rev. Joe Owen and the Rev. Jimmy D. Cook will be officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
