Marvin Weaver

SHADY POINT - Marvin Weaver, 88, of Shady Point died Friday, July 19, 2002, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born Nov. 11, 1913, in Williams, Okla. He was a miner, a member of United Mine Workes and was of the Assembly of God faith. He was the widower of Lillie Weaver.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Royal Oak (Poker Bend) Cemetery in Poker Bend under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
He is survived by two daughters, Goldie Fowler of Shady Point and Joyce Smith of Spiro; three sons, Melford Weaver of Panama, Clifford Weaver of Poteau and Alford Weaver of Shady Point; two sisters, Ruby Beveridge of Poteau and Geneva Durham of Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Carl Weaver of Poteau; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
