Dorothy M. Nixon

Dorothy M. Nixon, 68, of McCurtain, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001. She was born Aug. 10, 1933 in Williams. She was employed with the Whirlpool Corporation for 13 years. She was a lifelong resident of the area.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joe Kubala and Helen Wilheit Kubala; and a sister, Omigee Ruddles.
Survivors include her husband, Virgil of the home; one son, Joe Christenberry of Spiro; two sisters, Elaine Prock of Shady Point and Irene Scott of Bloomer, Ark.; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 at royal Oak Free Will Baptist Church in Poker Bend with the Rev. Gene Benson officiating. Burial will follow in Royal Oak Cemetery under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
