Lavon Medders, age 98 of Diana, Texas passed away March 19, 2017. She was born September 21, 1918 in Winslow, Arkansas to William and Jane Hysell.

She and family moved to California when she was 18 years old. There she met and married Jimmie Wesley Medders, a young marine. They had 2 children, Jerry Wesley Medders and Sherry Jane Medders Liedtke.

Lavon worked in the airplane industry during ww2, and NCR till she retired. When it came time for retirement, Lavon and Jimmie moved to Talihina, Oklahoma where he was born. She attended Falfa Baptist church and loved all her friends and family she was surrounded by. She loved to cook and knit and crochet. She loved her cows and chickens and she named them all!

She is preceded in death by her husband Jimmie, her Mother and Father and Granddaughter Shannon Medders Ford, her brothers Carney, Herman and Homer Hysell.

She is survived by her Son; Jerry Medders and wife Charlene, Daughter; Sherry Liedtke and son in law Alan, Grandsons; Jason Medders and Devon Liedtke, Granddaughter; Alana Liedtke Williams, Great Grandchildren; Vaughn Liedtke, Kylan Liedtke, Jacob Medders, Kinsley and Kamree Williams, and sister in law Louise Hysell, along with many loved nieces and nephews. She lived her last 8 years in Diana Texas surrounded by family and will be greatly missed. Thanks to Compass Hospice for making her last year comfortable.

Services will be held Friday, March 24, 2017 2:00 PM, at the Falfa Baptist Church in Falfa Oklahoma with the Rev. Carroll Fitzgerald with burial at Old Talihina City Cemetery in Talihina, Oklahoma.
