Walter Glen Lynch, 78, of Wister, OK passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 in Wister. Walter was born August 21, 1940, in Pine Valley, OK to William Ray & Madge (Breeding) Lynch.


He was preceded in death by his parents; grandchildren, Brooke & Matthew; and brothers, Kenneth & Joe Lynch.

Everyone knew him as Pops.


He was a Dad to everyone and was a friend to all. He drove a truck for 40+ years and had friends in all 50 states.

He loved his family, especially his grandsons. They were always into something and drinking Pops famous sweet tea. Pops is “Eastbound and Down, Truckin for Heaven”.


Survivors include his wife, Patricia of the home; daughter, Lucretia McGahey of Poteau, OK; son, Bruce Lynch of Wister, OK; 3 grandsons, Trevor Neal, Clifford & Christian Lynch; sisters, Lynda Hamlin of Stilwell, OK, Ann Pottridge of Waldron, AR; brother, James Lynch of Poteau, OK; mother of his children, Mary Lynch; stepsons, Gary & Ronnie Duncan; beloved daughter in law, Patricia Hopkins; other relatives, loved ones and friends.

Services will be 2 pm, Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau with John Brown & Jim Cook officiating.

Interment will follow at Memorial Park in Heavener.
 

Pallbearers will be Bruce, Clifford & Christian Lynch, Kodi Cook, Thomas Maxwell & Troy Cloninger.


The family will be at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
