Madeline L. Godfrey Hursh died May 20, 2008 in Wichita, Kansas. She is returning for burial to Greenhill Cemetery on Saturday, October 18 at noon.
Her grandson Paul Hake will conduct the graveside service with family visitation immediately following.
Madeline was born in Kiowa, Oklahoma on January 27, 1921. Her family and she moved to Williams, Oklahoma when she was eight. Madeline lived there until her marriage to Raymond Hursh from Kiowa, Oklahoma.
Madeline was preceded in death by her husband and parents Margaret Bollinger Godfrey and Charley Godfrey.
Also preceding her were brothers Buddy Godfrey and Dr. Kenneth Godfrey,, sisters Loretta Davison and Cora Mae Howard.
Her remaining sister Mona Lee Rowe lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Madeline’s children Dan and Keith Hursh, Judy Moser and Pam Harjo are bringing her home to Williams per her last request.
