Dorothy Vera Rhodes, 92, of Talihina, died Friday, April 2, 1999, in Poteau.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 5, at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery in Panama with Rev. Wayne Raines officiating.

Born Oct. 5, 1906, in Catoosa, Rhodes was a housewife. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Coalgate.

Dorothy Vera Jordan and Earl Hudson Rhodes were united in marriage Nov. 5, 1921, at Centra-homa, Okla. To this union, three children were born -- two sons and one daughter.

She is survived by a son, Earl Cody Rhodes of Talihina; a daughter and son-in-law, Helen Faye Rhodes and W.J. King of Cordell; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
