Dorothia Jean D'Amato

SPIRO - Dorothia Jean D'Amato, 73, of Spiro died Friday, June 16, 2000, in Spiro. She was the widow of Nicholas D'Amato and a former member of Lakeview Baptist Church and Eastern Star, where she started the Choctaw Chapter in Spiro.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery in Panama under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Jean Rogers of Spiro; two sons, John of Pocola and Joe of Spiro; one sister, Mary Jo Palmer of Spiro; three grandchildren, Timothy John D'Amato, Jordan C. Rogers and Daniel Avery D' Amato; and one great-grandchild.

The body may be viewed from noon to 8 p.m. today and from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
