Walter Leonard Dunn, Jr. of Spiro, Oklahoma was born March 8, 1927 in Hartford, Arkansas to Walter and Bertha (Lovely) Dunn and passed away December 3, 2019 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 92.
 

He is survived by his wife Joyce (Brewer) Dunn, one daughter, Rita Hudson and husband Ken, three grandchildren, Loagan Hudson, Reagan Hudson, and Braedan Hudson, three brothers-in-law, Jack Brewer, Bill Brewer, and JC Brewer, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Walter and Bertha Dunn, two sisters, Marie Douglas and Islahrea Carter, and one brother Harold Dunn.

Walter was a 10 year, Navy veteran serving in World War II, a member of the Order of Eastern Star #144 for 34 years and a member of Murrow Masonic Lodge #49 for almost 70 years. As most of you know He enjoyed fixing things and tinkering with things or what he would call “piddling around”. Walter loved his family and friends and will be missed by everyone that knew him.
 

Funeral services will be 10am Friday, December 6, 2019 at the Mallory-Martin Chapel in Spiro with Reverend Vernon Stone officiating.

Burial to follow in the Old Bokoshe Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro, Oklahoma.

Viewing hours will be 12pm-7pm Thursday.

Pallbearers will be John Casey, Bud Cosgrove, Joe Demato, Jerry Mann, Dale Stout, Paul Wilbanks, and Ron Simmons. Honorary pallbearers will be Loagan Hudson, Reagan Hudson and Braedan Hudson.
