Graveside services for Bonnie Lou Newberry were Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in Veterans Colony Cemetery, south of Wilburton. Officiating was Rev. Willard Francis.

Born February 24, 1924, at Vian, the daughter of Dave and Druzsy Gilmore Craghead, Mrs. Newberry died January 16, 1993, in the Love County Health Center, Marietta.

She had lived in Ardmore for several years before moving to Marietta four years ago. She married Joe T. Newberry in Oklahoma City on March 2, 1941. Mrs. Newberry was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Jo Purdy and Pat Eastwood of Burneyville; a brother, Obie Craghead of Beaumont, California; three sisters, Fannie Freeland and Pat Adams of Portales, New Mexico, and Luddie Cesaratto of Dunsmuir, California; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Newberry was preceded in death by her husband on May 31, 1989. 

Services were under the direction of Craddock Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers were Darrel Gregg, Shawn Rankin, Joey Eastwood, Shane Miller, and Jared Gilbert.
