Funeral services for Ruby Jewel Richey will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo, OK with Pastor Judy Thomas officiating, burial will follow at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Wilburton, OK. Ruby passed away July 6, 2017 in Hugo at the age of 74.
 

Ruby Jewel Richey was born July 5, 1943 in Hugo, to Jacob Palmer and Viola Ann (Revis) Workman. She had lived in this area all of her life and was a member of the Independent Hour of Prayer Church in Ft. Towson, OK. Ruby married Bob Richey on November 10, 1959 and worked as a caregiver for DHS. Ruby loved to go fishing, working with plastic canvas and especially enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Richey in 2003; her parents; one son, Lucas Palmer Richey and one sister, Wilma Hunter.

Ruby is survived by two sons, Melvin Richey and wife, Lynnette of Mead, OK and Houston Richey and wife, Vonda of Wilburton, OK; four daughters, Kathy Mangrum and husband, Johnny of Hugo, OK, Helen Thompson and husband Tommy of Hugo, OK, Bobbie Huffman and husband, Michael of Antlers, OK and Betty Thompson of Hugo, OK; one brother, Bobby Workman and wife, Joyce of Hugo, OK; one sister, Georgia Harrison and husband, Dale of Ft. Towson, OK; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
 

Family will receive friends Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo, OK.
