John Oliver Means was born March 10, 1860 at Mekecaport, Pennsylvania and departed this life May 18, 1942 at the age of 82 years at his home in Cheyenne, Oklahoma.

He leaves to mourn his children, who are: Oliver Means, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Daisy Farris, Norwalk, California; one step-daughter, Captola Nelson, Cheyenne, Oklahoma; as well as other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at Mountain View, Oklahoma by Rev. Felter of the Nazarene Church of Cheyenne.

Burial in Mountain View Cemetery.
