Funeral services for Jimmie Wayne Allen, age 54, Clinton resident, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Gotebo Baptist Church with Rev. Kris Ramber officiating. Burial was in the Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of the Stanley-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
Mr. Allen was born on Jan. 18, 1947 in Sentinel, the son of Robert M. and Dorotha Thurman Allen and died Friday afternoon, June 8, 2001, at Integris Clinton Regional Hospital. Since his father was in the construction business, the Allens traveled extensively, and he attended several different schools in his 12 years of education. He spent most of his life working in highway construction and truck driving. He was employed by John Cornell Construction at the time of his death.
He is survived by his daughter, Nikki Dodd, and grandson, Sy Dodd, both of Gotebo; his mother, Dorothy of Clinton; and a sister, Shirley Penn, and niece, Mandi Penn, both of Ada.
He was preceded in death by his father.
