The following obituary was composed by her cousin Phyllis Rhodes.
Information was taken from a telegram sent to her paternal grandmother (Estella (Hoover) Zigler and a letter written by her mother, Clara (Pearson) Zigler.

Zigler Baby Dies
Ethelyn Zigler, infant daughter of James and Clara (Pearson) Zigler was born October 15 at 2:20 a.m. and died at 7:40p.m. October 16, 1928. Burial will be tomorrow 17th.
At birth, the doctor informed the parents the baby had a heart problem.
Ethelyn weighed seven pounds at birth and was described by her mother as pretty, sweet, had dark black hair and favored her father, James.
Ethelyn was laid to rest in the Mountain Park Cemetery on October 17, 1928 at 2:00p.m.
She is survived by her parents, her grandmother Estella (Hoover) Zigler-Deaver and a host of other relatives and friends of the family.
