Melvin J. Brillhart

Services for Melvin Brillhart , 88 of Hobart, were held November 30, 1997, at First United Methodist Church in Hobart with Reverend Jack Kemper officiating. Burial followed in Hobart Rose Cemetery under direction of Peoples Cooperative Funeral Home of Lone Wolf.

Melvin J. Brillhart was born March 18, 1909, in Hobart to Adam and Anna (Dalke) Brillhart and died November 27, 1997, at Great Plains Regional Hospital in Elk City.

He attended elementary school at Big Elk School and graduated from Hobart High School in 1927. He attended Oklahoma A & M for two years.

Melvin and Thelma Brown were married November 29, 1934 and she preceded him in death in 1960. He then married Jean Huddleston on June 26, 1966, in Hobart. He was a member of First United Methodist church, Hobart, and was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Jean; two daughters, Sharon Fisher, Lakeside, California, and Becky Jennings, Hobart; two sisters, Velma Whiteley, Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Verna Waddell, Grand Prairie, Texas; and four grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his first wife, Thelma, one sister and two brothers.
