Final Rites for J. W. Dellinger

J. Wilson Dellinger was born September 4, 1862 at Cape Girardeau, Missouri and died Sunday, August 13, 1944 at a convalescent home in Tulsa. He had been an invalid for several years.

Mr Dellinger, a pioneer, was a hardware merchant in Gotebo for twenty-five years. He made the run of '89 at Perry and then settled in Gotebo, where he owned and operated his store.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ethel M. Dellinger, a daughter Mrs. B. E. Horner, both of Oklahoma City; a son, E. Mabry Dellinger of Tulsa; two brothers, Dr. W. A. Dellinger of Duncan and J. P. Dellinger of Ringling; and a sister Mrs. James S. Reed of Spearman, Texas.

Funeral services were held from the Presbyterian church at Gotebo Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with the Christian minister of Hobart speaking words of comfort to the family and friends. Interment was in Gotebo cemetery with Gish Funeral home of Hobart in charge, assisted by R. W. Calhoon of Gotebo.
