She was born on May 14, 1928 to James Asa Aunquoe (noted Kiowa composer) and Anna Katie Keahbone (last grandchild of Gool-Hay-ee, famed Kiowa warrior) in Lawton, Oklahoma.

She was a member of Tulsa Powwow Club and the Oklahoma Federation of Indian Women.

She was a 4/4 Kiowa, a descendant of Kiowa Black Leggings Warrior Society Ceremonies and Women's Auxiliary Kiowa Gourd Clan and was a member of the Rainy Mountain Baptist Church.

She worked for Public Service Company of Oklahoma and retired in the mid 1980's.

She encouraged young girls to learn their traditional ways, especially dancing.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at 10:00AM at Red Stone Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Anderson and Pastor Tim Anquoe officiating, with burial at Aunquoe Family Cemetery, Mt. View, Oklahoma.

She is survived by six children, Trudy Haynes, Oklahoma City, Verna Haynes, Denver, Colorado, Vera Addi of Virginia, Dean Haynes of Chickasha, Sammy Haynes, Broken Arrow, Pammy Haynes, LasVegas, NV; fifteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Truman Anquoe, Jim Anquoe; one sister, Anita Anquoe.

She is preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Anderson Anquoe, Dean Anquoe, Kenneth Anquoe, Leonard Anquoe, and Gerald Anquoe; and Jack Anquoe; two sisters, Bernice Anquoe and Mary Ann Anquoe; one grandson, Corey Kostzuta and an infant grandchild
