HENNESSEY - The funeral for Bert H. Witt, 89, who died Monday at an Okeene Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the United Methodist Church at Hennessey. The Rev. Duane Roever will officiate.

Burial will be at Union Chapel Cemetery under direction of Cordry and Son Funeral Home.

He and Marie Prouty were married February 19, 1938. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons. Rex Witt, Hennessey and Kay Prouty, Ponca City; a daughter, Mrs. Earl (Eddie) Bierig, Okeene; two sisters, Mrs. Coe (Erma) Hawk, Hennessey, and Mrs. Orville (Nina) Hawk, Iola, Kansas; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, twin sons and four sisters. Memorials in his name may be made to one's favorite charity.
