Mrs. Mary D. McCollum passed away at her home in this city Saturday morning, December 31, after an illness of several months at the age of  sixty-two years, six months and sixteen days.  
 
Deceased leaves a husband and several grown children to mourn her  departure.
 
The funeral services were held from Union Chapel northeast of town and  were conducted by Rev. A. Arnote assisted by Rev. P. F. Meek , at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, New Year's Day. 

Interment was made at Lyon Valley  cemetery across the road opposite the chapel.
