The funeral for June Franklin, 85 will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday January 3, 2018 at First United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. P. J. Stewart and Rev. Mike Channel.

Burial will follow at Lyon Valley Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

June was born in Chattanooga, Oklahoma on January 11, 1932 to Grady and Bertha Kennedy Boyd and died Sunday December 31, 2017 at her son’s home east of Hennessey. June married Lyle Franklin in Wichita Falls, Texas on December 29, 1960. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.

June is survived by three sons Mike Franklin and wife Lynne of Azle, Texas, Brent Franklin and wife Patricia of Metter, Georgia, Bryon Franklin and wife Randi; one daughter Debbie Franklin, all of Hennessey; eight grandchildren Brandon Franklin, Jason Franklin, Victor Franklin, Stacie Wood, Maegan McCollough, Jessica Franklin, Tayler Franklin, Brylen Franklin; seven greatgrandchildren Lynnze Franklin, Koda Franklin, Eli Wood, Ean Wood, Kyrie McCollough, Kaden McCullough, Karson McCollugh; three sisters Gladys Duncan, Bert Barnes, Louise Smith; two brothers Jimmy Boyd and C. W. Boyd.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lyle, four brothers, and one sister.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Dean A. McGee Eye Institute with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
