Hennessey Clipper
8 January 1920, Thursday
Submitted by Donna J. Crawford

Mrs. Dora Glaeslin
Mrs. John F. Glaeslin died of heart failure Dec. 20th, at the General Hospital in Enid. She had been taken to the hospital just a fortnight previous and five days before her death, underwent an operation for the removal of a tumor. She was progressing nicely, but an unexpected attack of heart trouble brought her life to a sudden end. Funeral services were held at the home at 11 o’clock, Dec 22nd and the remains laid to rest in Lacy cemetery. J.M. Whisnant officiated at the services and many of the deceased old friends and neighbors attend.
Besides her husband, John F. Glaeslin, immediate relatives who survive, are four sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Laura Seabold, of Lacy, Mrs. Maude Suite, of Ames, Mrs. Mollie Barker, Hood River, Ore., Mrs. Sallie Kinnett, of Hennessey and Mr. John and Sam McGinnis, of Ames.
Dora McGinnis was born in Douglas county Ill., and was 52 years, 11 months and 2 days of age at her death. Following her marriage to B.F. Fornsash in 1886, they made their home in Douglas county until about three years preceding her death, which they removed to Oklahoma, locating in Kingfisher county, west of Hennessey. Mr. Fornash died shortly after their arrival. She was wed to John F. Glaeslin on August 26, 1918.
Her sudden death shocked her relatives and many friends of the Lacy district.
