Genevieve C. McLaughlin, 96, of The Woodlands, Texas, aunt of Kingfisher resident Ralph Harrison, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013.
 
A graveside memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingfisher Cemetery with the Rev. Pat McPherson officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Sanders Funeral Service.
 
She was born July 19, 1917, in Verden to Ralph and Mamie Hayes.
 
She attended Kingfisher High School and Anadarko Business College. During WW II, she was employed with the commerce department. After the war, she settled in Detroit, Mich., and worked for the Detroit Board of Education.
 
Survivors include one son, John Leveranz of Antwerp, Belgium; two daughters, Janice Schneider of Urbana, Ohio, and Judy Anderson of The Woodlands; one grandchild, and two great-grandchildren.
 
She was preceded in death by one sister, Maureen Harrison.
