Clara Marie Maehs died of multiple health issues Monday, May 12, 2014 at the Noble Health Center in Noble. She was born September 29, 1942 in Kingfisher, Oklahoma to Joseph and Mary Determan Maehs, the third of eleven children. Clara attended Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School, completing eighth grade in 1956.Clara is survived by sisters, Carol Woitchek (Fred, deceased), Betty
(Neil) Roberts, Gerry (Jim) Mathias, Dorothy Hallock (Mike, deceased), Janis
(Mike) Bart; brothers, Mark (Deborah) Maehs, John Maehs, and Jim Maehs (Sherri,
deceased); and sister-in-law, Lavonne Maehs. She is also survived by a son whom
she relinquished at birth and with whom she was reunited about ten years ago.
She has two grandchildren from that son.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on May 31st at 10:30 a.m.
at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 211 N. Porter in Norman. There will be no wake
service. If you wish, pray a rosary for Clara privately.
Private Burial will be in the Kingfisher Cemetery at a later date.
