Enid, OK — The funeral for Robert “Bob” Lindsey, 80, of Kingfisher, will be 1 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2009, at Sanders Funeral Chapel Inc., Kingfisher. The Rev. Leon Seaton will officiate. Burial will be in Kingfisher Cemetery.

He was born Dec. 29, 1928, in Kingfisher to Ray Vernett and Francis Kendall Lindsey and died Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at Kindred Hospital, Oklahoma City.

He was a graduate of Classen High School and attended Oklahoma State University.

He married Mary Emma McVeigh May 27, 1950, in Oklahoma City. He farmed and worked for Kingfisher County as a surveyor.

Surviving are his wife, Mary, of the home; one daughter, Janne Lindsey Phillips of Norman; one son, Ray Lindsey of Kingfisher; six grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
