D. Elizabeth Jech, 83, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, in Oklahoma City, OK. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, at First Christian Church of Kingfisher with Rev. John Sellers officiating. Interment will be in Kingfisher Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Service Inc., Kingfisher.
Elizabeth was born March 12, 1924 in Lexington, OK to John and Jessie (McKay) Fields.
She married Alfred J. Jech Dec. 31, 1941, in Wichita, KS. She was a housewife and operated her own business as a hairdresser. She was a member of First Christian Church of Kingfisher where she served as deaconess. She also was a member of the KEWA'[s.
Elizabeth and Alfred enjoyed more than 65 years of happy marriage. She assisted him with the family farming operations and enjoyed traveling with him. She loved to sew, cook, and she especially loved music and dancing. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Alfred of the home; son, A.J. Jech Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Oklahoma City; daughter, Wanda Cline of Oklahoma City; and son, Alan J. Jech and his wife Lori of Duncan. She has seven grandchildren, Susan McCaleb of Edmond, Scott Jech of Norman, and Adam, Taylor, Mallory, Caleb and Connor Jech, all of Duncan. She also has four great-granddaughters, Brittney of Tulsa, Ashley of New Orleans, LA, and Abbey and McKenzie of Edmond. She has two sisters, Lucille Manning and Marilyn Frye of Wichita, KS; and one brother, Tom Fields of Houston, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Jack Fields.
