Funeral services for Doris Elizabeth Baker, 99, of Guthrie, OK will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, September 21, 2012 at Smith Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Gene Owen of Companion Hospice officiaiting. Interment will follow at Kingfisher Cemetery, Kingfisher, OK. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie. 

Doris was born on July 22, 1913 in Kingfisher to William Frank and Gertrude (Sanders) Cunningham. She passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012 in Guthrie. 

Doris married Walter H. Baker on March 10, 1934 in Ft. Smith, AR. She worked in sales at John A. Brown Co. in Oklahoma City, OK for many years, was a member of Meridian Farm Women’s Club, and was also active for many years in the Order of the Eastern Star. Doris was a member of the First Baptist Church in Guthrie. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter Baker, son Walter Baker, Jr., two brothers Frank Cunningham and Owen Cunningham, and one sister Shirley Burkhart. 

Doris is survived by two sisters Lucile Doke and Kathleen Weach both of Wichita, KS. Visitation will be Thursday, 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
