Kingfisher – The funeral for Dale Altizer, 87, will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday in the Chapel of Sanders Funeral Service. The Rev. Rollin Hole will officiate.

Burial will be in the Kingfisher Cemetery.

He was born May 29, 1910, in Kingfisher to Arthur and Elgiva Benson Altizer and died Saturday, February 14, 1998, at his home. He owned the APCO Café for several years and built and managed the Timber Lodge.

On December 24, 1928, he married Mary Louise Pappe at Kingfisher.

Surviving are his wife, Mary of the home; one son, Charles A. "Chuck" of Kingfisher; one sister, Laverne Koen of Loyal; three grandsons; three step – granddaughters; and 12 great – grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Kingfisher Regional Hospital, Second Shamrock Activity Fund and/or American Heart Association.
