Graveside services for Delores Marie Vaverka, 61, will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 27, 2007 in Hennessey Cemetery officiated by L.D. Choate. Arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey.

Delores was born in Enid on July 5, 1945 to John and Antonia Vaverka and died Monday, April 23, 2007 at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center due to complications from diabetes.
Delores graduated from Hennessey High School and attended Oklahoma State University.

She married Leonard Plummer Nov. 22, 1970. Delores held various jobs in the area, the last of which was at Wal-Mart in Kingfisher.

Delores is survived by one sister, Irene Boucher of San Antonio, Texas; one nephew, Curtis L. Wehling of Waukomis; two nieces, Kelley Vaverka of Hennessey, and Mitzi J. Bishop of Schultz, Texas.

Her grandparents, John M. and Marie Vaverka; her parents, John Vaverka Jr. and Antonia Vaverka; her brother Ernest J. Vaverka; and an infant daughter preceded Delores in death.

Delores had a thoughtful heart, loved animals and enjoyed gardening and arts and crafts. She was a loving person and now resides with the Lord.

At the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made through the funeral home to the American Diabetes Association. (Paid Obit 4-26-1)
